The West Covina Bulldogs knew they had to play virtually error-free football to dethrone the defending champion Charter Oak Chargers.
That did not happen.
In fact, the Bulldogs fumbled five times including one that was returned for the first score of the game. Another noteworthy mistake was being flagged for delay of game on a 2nd and goal from the Charger’s 3 yard line when the score was only 7-0 in favor of Charter Oak.
The Bulldog’s settled for a field goal to make it 7-3, but that was the closest West Covina ever got to the lead.
The Bulldog’s end the season with a 7-5 record. A fine season and a nice turnaround from that opening game disaster vs El Rancho.
Good Luck to all the seniorĀ year Bulldogs, It was a lot of fun watching you play this year.
Best of luck and thanks to all Bulldogs for another fun season, would have liked to seen how the game could have been without the mistakes and fumbles, but you got to give it to CO and especially Adam Muema, he just looked like he could score anytime he touched the ball.
Great job offensive line as you guy’s were able to open holes in that huge CO line several times
throughout the night.
Thanks again seniors and good luck with your futures, it was great to talk to some of you and I hope to see some of you playing on Saturday’s wether its for a local JC or on TV. Also thank you Manuel & Della for the great work you both do on here.
Thanks for your kind words Dan.
Parents and relatives come and go as their student enters and leaves the football program, but fans (such as yourself) who just really appreciate the excitement of high school football is whats needed to make a football program strong.
Most importantly, the players really appreciate the support of a large crowd cheering them on. It makes all their hard work worth it.
RIP Bill
Manuel and Della thanks for the video’s, lots of fun to watch. Do you have any of the Charter Oak playoff game? Even though we lost it was a good game with many good running plays thanks to the way our line was able to dominate the CO “D” line. I don’t think any other team was able to run on them the way we did. The exciting thing is I hear we should have a very strong line next season.
